Can I wash them with everything else?

Yes. Machine wash at 40 °C and tumble dry, with the rest of the laundry. They come out as soft as they went in.

Is it really bamboo? What's the exact fabric?

95% bamboo viscose, 5% elastane. It's printed on the label, and it's what you get. The elastane gives the stretch; the bamboo does everything else.

How many should I get as a gift?

One pair is a try. Three covers most of his week, and seven replaces the drawer. Most gifts go out as a pack of three or more, which is also where the price per pair drops.

What does the pouch do? I don't want anything that looks strange.

It's a contoured front panel that holds everything in place, so you're not adjusting through the day. From the outside it looks like a normal boxer brief. Nothing shows under trousers.

Do they get baggy after a few months?

No. The elastane brings the fabric back to shape after every wash, and the waistband is covered so it doesn't twist or roll. Month six fits like week one.
